Vanessa Sundin, Attorney

Vanessa Sundin, a Shasta County native, received her B.A. in English Literature and German from California State University, Chico. Vanessa received both her Juris Doctorate and LL.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law. Vanessa focuses primarily in estate planning, probate, elder law, tax law, business law, and bankruptcy law. Prior to attending law school, Vanessa earned her Series 7 and worked as a registered sales associate with A.G. Edwards and Sons, Inc..

During her law school career, Vanessa was an active board member of both the Queer Law Students Association and the Golden Gate University School of Law chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. She also worked as a law clerk with the National Center for Lesbian Rights, as a Professor’s Assistant teaching Real Property Law, and as a Research Assistant analyzing constitutional issues, including those present in Strauss v. Horton and In re Marriage Cases. During and after her LL.M. program, Vanessa worked as an associate attorney with a San Francisco based firm specializing in estate planning, probate, trust administration, elder law, and tax law.

Vanessa currently lives in Chico, California with her husband, three dogs, and cat. Vanessa is a board member and Co-Chair for the Stonewall Alliance Center. She is also a board member and Secretary for the North Valley Community Foundation. In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys reading, exercising, cooking, playing outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Kelsey Glenn, Legal Assistant

Kelsey Glenn, a Butte County native, is a legal assistant for Sundin Law Office. Kelsey’s professional experience stems primarily from the small business and retail arena. Kelsey came to Sundin Law Office from Fleet Feet Sports, where she worked as the store’s apparel buyer and inventory manager for three and a half years. During her time with Fleet Feet Sports, Kelsey honed her organizational and analytical skills and increased the store’s apparel sales by fifteen percent.

Kelsey has a deep-rooted love for local, small business, especially in Chico, her hometown. Kelsey enjoys working closely with clients, especially helping clients assess their needs and meet their goals. Kelsey’s considerable skills, business background, and engaging personality are valuable assets to Sundin Law Office’s day-to-day operations, including managing client workflow, document preparation, and scheduling.

In her free time, Kelsey enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, hiking, running, being outdoors, and relaxing at home with her boyfriend and a glass of wine.
